  1. Hi Alain,
    L. pseudotruncatella was always my first lithops to flower. I don't have a single L. pseudotruncatella now. I once have a small collection of just L. pseudotruncatella var. volkii, but lost them in the 2002 tornado. Are the photos at the top of var. volkii?
I really like the plants with the thinner, inter-locking petals. Are these L. pseudotruncatella also, or one of the varieties? I'm itching to buy some Lithops seed, but I just get carried away with seed sowing and I really don't have over wintering space. I have a whole new batch of Astrophytum 'Super Kabuto" seedlings that are going to need their own pots soon and I'm scratching my head as to where they will spend the winter. Maybe I'll surprise the people at the next Washington, DC C&S society meeting when they find 4 or 5 Super Kabuto plants in the raffle. Thanks again for all the succulent eye candy that you regularly post in your blog. Even though I don't always comment I do look at and enjoy them all.

  2. The label for the top plant only says pseudotruncatella. It may be 'pallid form' .I think the petals on Lithops get longer and thinner as the flowers get older. I liked the inter locking petals. It is another pseudotruncatella. Sounds like some members at your next meeting may be lucky. I just like to post photos of what I enjoy about the hobby which often is what is in flower in the greenhouse.
